Input/Output Channels

HEP provides various channes for input and output. The the input channels read

• data (events) to process (ADAMO)
• slowcontol data (ADAMO)
• HERMES geometry data (ADAMO)
• histogram/ntuple definitions (ADAMO)
• online commands (DAD/ADAMO)
• COMIS source (Fortran)

Output can be written as

• (events) data after filtering (ADAMO)
• HBOOK objects

Other output can be done from KUIP, COMIS or the usercode ( see HEPM).

The filenames and driver types for the various channels can be set and viewed with the interactive NAME command. The channels are identified by four-character names.
