Aim of the Program

The aim of the program is to allow easy access to data in ADAMO-tables, especially to data form the Hermes Monte Carlo and to real data form the experiment. It allows to create histograms and n-tuples from the data in the tables. It is possible to select specific events by defining Cuts and Masks.

The histograms and n-tuples are defined in specific ADAMO tables and are incremented automatically by the program. These definitions can be loaded from a file, but also be edited interactively, and the changes are immediately applied to the histograms.

The program uses the COMIS fortran interpreter to call specific user-written subroutines. With these subroutines it is possible to perform any calculations with the data and fill special histograms, that do not fit in the general scheme.

The histograms can immediately be plotted since all PAW commands are available within HEP.

Also an immediate access to the ADAMO-Tables is possible by the use of the commands known from TI, which are also available in HEP.

Since HEP uses the KUIP interactive interface known from PAW and HMC, online help on the commands and the KUIP macro language is available.

HEP contains also a KUIP interface to DAD.
